Abstract

In recent years, attention has been paid to interdisciplinary and comparative studies in the field of religious and Quranic sciences. Despite this, due to the emerging nature of these studies, their dimensions and boundaries are not yet completely clear, and sometimes researchers ignore the existing differences in using these methods. This research aimed to investigate the nature, scope and method of each of these two types of studies, and compared them and showed that there are major differences between the nature of these two methods. Specifically, there are differences in methodology, introspection or extroversion, the range of topics and final goals. However, these differences are not absolute and in some areas, such as interpretation or the intermediate goal of "knowledge", they have common points. Based on this, this study has defined the ratio between these two approaches according to the nature and territory, in the form of contrast, general and specific. Also, in the evaluation of the methodology, it was found that according to the criterion of "study method", both studies are equal, but according to the type of methodology (adaptive or dynamic), they have a contrasting relationship
