Abstract

Applied by different interpreters, interpretation of Quran based on the text of Quran, includes various outlooks. The practice has brought about a variety of new understandings and cognitive achievements in Islamic metaphysics, ethics, and sociology. An example of this variety is discerned in the interpretations of two Short Suras (Naas and Falaq) by two contemporary interpreters of Quran- especially in their metaphysical views on Holy Prophet’s (Muhammad) unique prophethood as well as his infallibility. It is obvious that Al-Furqan, due to its better reliance on Quranic verses, introduced a deeper and clearer analysis of the Holy Prophet’s infallibility. Almizan, however, because of its use of unreliable documents creates a superficial account. It, eventually, based on a few ‌hadiths, adopted the vulnerability of the Holy Prophet’s body against magic. Even if they are reliable at all, these hadiths are regarded as Aahaad. Such a practice is against al-Furqan‌‌‌‌‌'s usual procedure which rejects the reliability of ‌ahaad accounts.
